ADMINISTRATION

> Communications Director

Working under the VP of Marketing and Development, the Communications Director will lead all communications strategies, including:
• Public relations – media placement, media relations, pitching stories, tracking
• Social and digital networking
• Program promotion – develop effective marketing strategies and timelines to reach program enrollment goals
• Graphic design – conceive and design promotional materials (Illustrator/Photoshop)
• Brand advocate – work with YMCA of the USA to implement brand strategies in all communications
• Website – manage web content (WordPress)
• Writing – apply impeccable writing skills to create compelling member stories, grant applications, etc.
• Donor relations – develop strategies and materials to engage, recognize and inspire donors
• Maintain productive relationships with media and community stakeholders
• Variety of support  in community outreach, health advocacy, events, and fundraising campaigns
• Develop communications plans, including crisis communication
• Speak and present on behalf of the Y in selected settings
• Photography, imagery, video, PSAs, testimonials

Qualifications:
B.A. in Communications or related field
Two+ years of related experience
Applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have high level knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Illustrator, Photoshop

Applicants should submit two writing samples, two media placements and two design samples.

Hours: Full Time Exempt position; Hours Vary (including evenings & weekends)
Wage: $38,000 – $42,000/yr  Depending on Experience plus Benefits

SWIM

Swim Instructor
Duties:
Responsible for teaching swimming lessons to all ages(instruct & monitor) and at all levels, implement YMCA practices that ensures the safety and quality of all swimming lessons, assuring program quality by assisting in evaluating all participants. Must be able to make quick decisions and be assertive in enforcing rules & regulations. Ability to maintain level of physical and mental readiness; ability to communicate verbally to large and small groups of members effectively.
Qualifications: Minimum age-16; Certifications: Must have Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification; ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent; First Aid & AED Certification. Must have 1-3 years of experience teaching swimming; ability to maintain level of physical and mental readiness, must demonstrate water safety skills in accordance with YMCA standards at all times. Must pass criminal background clearance, drug test, health screening, tb test.
Hours: Part Time; M-F; Hours Vary from 10am to 7pm & some hours on Saturdays; Timeframe: Seasonal/Summer Months
Wage: $11.65-$14.00/Hr.-Depending on experience; Benefits Not Applicable


ANAHEIM ACHIEVES AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Anaheim Achieves Elementary School Program Supervisor
Duties: Plan, implement, manage, evaluate after school program; will recruit, train, motivate, supervise 4-7 adult staff, volunteer mentors/tutors and supervise approximately 150 youth (ages 5-12); develop parent relationships, recruit students/monitor attendance, collect program fees, coordinate with community agencies, act as liaison with school staff; plan and implement special events, manage site budget.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 yrs. of age with a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.; Bachelors degree preferred with major emphasis in early childhood education, child development or elementary education with at least two years experience with working with children; six semester units or equivalent quarter units shall be in administration or staff relations.  Experience in curriculum development for school age children and 2-3 yrs. experience working with youth.  Understanding of service learning concepts and experience working with teachers, school district staff and parents. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred; computer/internet literate-Word/Excel; valid CA Driver’s License with Clear Record
Hours: Full Time Exempt position; Hours Vary (including evenings & weekends).
Wage: $33,280-$38,000/Yr. (Depending on Qualifications/Education) + Benefits

> Anaheim Achieves Group Leader & Group Leader Substitutes
Duties: Provide homework assistance/tutor individuals or large groups of students (ages 5-12 yrs).  Will also supervise various academic, enrichment, sports and health activities for the children. Observe and manage behavior of students according to approved procedures under the direction of the Program Supervisor.  Be alert & sensitive to individual needs of children and follow all health/safety practices.  Must attend  on-going training sessions (monthly in evening).
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 yrs. of age with a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.; experience working with children (paid or volunteer); 1-2 years college preferred; Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred; Valid CA Driver’s License.
Hours: Part Time/Non-Exempt, Monday-Friday- Hours Vary-Must be available from Noon-6pm.
Wage: $9.25-$12.50/Hr (Depending on Qualifications); Benefits Not Applicable

Duties:  Provide homework assistance/tutor individuals and large groups of students (ages 12-15).  Observe and manage behavior of students according to approved policies/ procedures under the direction of the Site Coordinator.  Be alert & sensitive to individual needs of the youth and follow all health/safety practices.  Will need to attend various on-going training sessions (monthly)
Qualifications:  Must be at least 18 years of age with a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.; 1-2 years college preferred; Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Hours:  Part Time Monday-Friday 12:15-6:00pm; Part-Time Non-Exempt Hourly Position; Hours Vary

Hours: PT-Monday-Thursday 2:30-6:30pm + Some Fridays & Saturdays; Note: Hours & Days Worked Will Vary; H.S. Program Runs 156 Days Per Year; Sites Closed During Summer and Various Days throughout the Year.
Wage: $11.50-$12.00/Hr; Benefits Not Applicable

YMCA HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CENTER

> Fitness/Aerobics Instructor
Duties: Provide customer service, guidance, and leadership in all program areas specific to the group exercise setting, including cardiovascular exercise, muscle conditioning, and flexibility.  Lead group exercise classes in a safe, effective and timely manner with the intent to enhance the physical, mental and spiritual health of each participant.
Qualifications: CPR/AED, First Aid required within 30 days of hire; Group exercise and or aerobics instructor Certification (YMCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, etc.).  Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills and have the ability to communicate physically and verbally with large and small groups.  Must possess the physical ability to lead and interact in exercise/fitness activities; capability to work with members of all fitness levels and abilities. Must be at least 18 years of age with a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
Hours: Part Time Afternoons & Evenings M-F

YOUTH SPORTS & FITNESS

> Dance Instructor
Duties: Provide a structured class teaching students in variety of dances such as hip hop, ballet, tap, jazz, hula, breakdancing, etc.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age with a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D., at least 1 year experience working with children in related activities. Must be creative and be able to demonstrate dance and choreography.
Hours: Part-Time Non-Exempt position; hours vary.

> Gymnastics Instructor
Duties: Will perform gymnastics activities and supervise children of various ages.

Hours: Monday 3:45 to 7:15 p.m.; Tuesday 8:30 to 10:15 a.m.; Wednesday 3:45 to 6:15 p.m.; Saturday 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Sunday 11:45-1:15pm

> Recreation Fitness Instructor
Duties: Will instruct sports activities with preschool age children and young youth (basketball, soccer, tumbling, T-ball, cheerleading, gymnastics, group games, relay races, etc.); will assist in planning, organizing and instructing a variety of recreational and self-esteem activities.
